EA to buy PopCap for 1 billion$?
7The video game giant Electronic Arts is set to acquire the casual game studio PopCap Games, the company behind such big hits such as Plants vs Zombies and Bejeweled. Some sources say that the negotiable price is over $1 billion.
EA has been moving forward to move into the casual gaming market, which is an untapped market with a great potential for revenue. It’s no doubt that games such as Angry birds or Plants vs. Zombies have the industry’s biggest return on investment as opposed to big budged titles such as Call of Duty. PopCap’s flagship game Bejeweled has sold more than 50 million units More >
Driverless cars, now legal in the State of Nevada
10Yup, the future’s already here. It’s not the retro-futuristic vision of flying cars or robot servants the past predicted, but driverless cars are well on its way to a wider adoption.
A while ago, Google (among many other multinationals) started test-driving these cars that drive by themselves, without any human input, at decent speeds. They are aware of obstacles, speed limits and traffic signs, and will automatically adjust to avoid any accidents. Here’s one of those test drives:

Free indie game highlight: Proun
15Proun is a indie game for PC just released today. Not just another racing game, Proun takes you into a weird and strange new world of abstract geometric shapes. You must beat your opponents and avoid obstacles on the track by rotating your “ball” on the cable to which you are attached. It’s difficult to explain in words, but take a look at me playing one of the maps:
The indie game comes in three gamemodes: championship, single race and time trial. Pretty basic, every racing games these days comes with it. However, the unique game-play really set this game apart from other racing games. An More >

Sadly, the beloved Pinball is no longer included with Windows Vista and 7 for unknown reasons. Does this mean there is no way to play that game on recent computers anymore? (more…)
Defining your target consumer
16Who is going to buy your product? Not “who” specifically (we all know you’re going to be able to convince your family and friends to partake of your wares), but what kind of person is going to be interested in what you have to sell? Or more simply put, who is your target customer?
By focusing in on a type of customer, you are going to be able to better market your product. A simple example is if you’re selling hearing aids, you’ll want to target more elderly couples. Sure, you may have a middle-aged person, or maybe a few teens, but your target market would me senior citizens. That being More >
