EA to buy PopCap for 1 billion$?

7

The video game giant Electronic Arts is set to acquire the casual game studio PopCap Games, the company behind such big hits such as Plants vs Zombies and Bejeweled. Some sources say that the negotiable price is over $1 billion.

EA has been moving forward to move into the casual gaming market, which is an untapped market with a great potential for revenue. It’s no doubt that games such as Angry birds or Plants vs. Zombies have the industry’s biggest return on investment as opposed to big budged titles such as Call of Duty. PopCap’s flagship game Bejeweled has sold more than 50 million units More >

Defining your target consumer

16

Who is going to buy your product? Not “who” specifically (we all know you’re going to be able to convince your family and friends to partake of your wares), but what kind of person is going to be interested in what you have to sell? Or more simply put, who is your target customer?
