Peg from Steffi Min on Vimeo.

Peg uses a simple clamp mechanism found in a clothespin rather than the traditional twist socket utilized in most household lights.

Meet the Peg, a (working) conceptual alternative light-bulb socket. Instead of the lengthy and traditional screw-based sockets for your light-bulbs, this new invention uses a clamp mechanism to hold the bulb in its place. Much simpler to use, although it might not be as durable.

Right now it’s still only a demo made by a graduate student over at steffimin.com, but I’m looking forward for this to turn into your reality. In every Walmart, or IKEA.
